  • How to Vote
  1. Governance

Voting

After locking your CHY tokens, you can use them to vote on how future emissions will be distributed over the next epoch. (1 epoch = 2 weeks)

You can vote to determine how emissions will be split across the different activities on Chymia in the following epoch. Some examples of actvities include:

  1. Minting cUSD

  2. Depositing cUSD into the stability pool

  3. Maintaining an active cUSD debt

  4. Staking in Liquidity Pools

Voting Dynamics

Voting behavior naturally revolves around using one's vote to further one's interest. For example, if you envision yourself depositing more cUSD into the stability pool in the following epoch, you would vote to increase emissions in that area.

Likewise, if you want to spend most of the following epoch minting cUSD, then you would vote to increase emissions there.

How to Vote

The voting process is straightforward. At the start of each new epoch, open the Chymia app to allocate your vote to each of the 3 areas.

Votes are allocated on a percentage basis. The maximum allocation you can give to a single area is 100%, and the sum of your total allocation across all areas must also be 100%.

Bear in mind that your voting allocation stays in place from epoch to epoch unless you change it.

Voting ends every other Tuesday at 23:59:59 UTC +0, just before the next epoch begins.
